Dresner Partners Names Omar Diaz Managing Director

Mr. Diaz has more than 13 years of professional experience on Wall Street, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and restructuring transactions. He has worked on more than 60 M&A transactions and has raised over $15 billion in capital for clients in a variety of industries. He has led transactions for companies based in the U.S., Asia, and Latin America, working primarily in mergers and acquisitions, as well as restructuring. Most recently, Omar served as a Managing Director with Allegiance Capital Corporation and founded their Chicago office. Mr. Diaz focused on chemicals and industrials.

Prior to Allegiance Capital Corporation, Omar was a Senior Vice President in the Industrial Group at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin where he was responsible for coverage of the chemical and alternative fuel segments. Previous to Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Diaz was a Vice President at Schnitzius & Vaughan (now Acquest Advisors), a boutique investment bank based in Houston, Texas. He also has held positions with J.P. Morgan Securities, Bank of America, and Deloitte & Touche. He began his career as a project engineer for Amoco Oil Company in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Diaz holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Indiana University’s E.W. Kelley School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. He is also a Certified Management Accountant and Certified in Financial Management.
