Managing Director

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and talented managing director for our growing Chicago-based middle market investment banking practice. This professional will have strong marketing skills and a broad network within a specific industry and the general business community as a whole. His/Her primary responsibility will be new business development, including lead generation, relationship management and initiation of investment banking engagements. Supported by our experienced investment banking professionals, our managing director will be able to leverage his/her experience, network and industry specialties (e.g. healthcare, manufacturing, food, technology, energy, etc.) to generate high quality middle market transactions for the firm. Vice President, reporting to Managing Directors

We are currently seeking to hire a Vice President. Dresner offers our Vice Presidents the opportunity to gain extensive experience across multiple industries and transaction types including mergers & acquisitions, financings, restructuring and valuations. Vice Presidents are the "quarterbacks" of our deal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of business development and transaction execution under the direction of a Managing Director or Director
• Manage and train associates and analysts- Produce and edit periodic newsletters and industry pieces
• Manage day-to-day client interaction Desired Skills & Experience
• Minimum of three years of investment banking associate experience or 1 year of VP-level experience
• Strong undergraduate and graduate academic performance
  
• Minimum of an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or economics but an MBA is preferred but not necessary
• Team player who works well within a small team environment but shows independence and resourcefulness in executing tasks
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Candidate must possess a Series 79 and Series 63/66 license

Associates play an active role in the entire transaction process from initial pitch to closing. Dresner offers associates the opportunity to work on small deal teams and interface directly with senior-level client executives and bankers. Associates are expected to provide draft pitches and information memoranda, meet with potential investors/buyers and assist in maintaining client relationships. Associates will work on a wide variety of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, restructurings and valuations.
